Honourary Lieutenant-Colonel Alex Moseanu, SBStj, CD, AdeC, GCSJ(J) ,GCStG, MOC, ORCB
CMI is very honored to have Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Alex Moseanu to be our mentor for Canadian Culture, History and Public Interest. Honorary LCol Moseanu served for thirty-eight years with Canadian Forces including the Canadian Grenadier Guards, Governor General’s Horse Guards and the Toronto Scottish Regiment as well as serving with the CIC Branch before being posted to 709 (Toronto) Communication Regiment as a Staff Officer in 1999. In Nov 2011, he was appointed Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel to 700 Borden Comm Sqn amalgamated with 709 Comm Regt, now known as 32 Signal Regiment.
Honorary LCol Moseanu is Aide de Camp to the Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, where he has served since 1997. He is the recipient of the Order of St. John, the Canada 125 Medal, the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals, the Canadian Forces Decoration with 2 Clasps. He is the past President of Jimmy and Associates and continues to be involved in many charitable organizations such as the Order of St. George, as well as The Honourable Company of Freemen of the City of London of North America.He has also served as Director of Public Interest with CSIC.
